Man Utd v Wolfsburg preview

Wayne Rooney will be looking to open his Champions
league account for the season against Wolfsburg
Manchester United will be hoping to return to winning
ways in the Champions League when Wolfsburg are the
visitors to Old Trafford.
Louis van Gaal's side's European campaign got off to the
worst possible start with a 2-1 defeat at PSV Eindhoven
but they will be hoping their perfect record against
Wolfsburg continues to get them back on track.
In their only previous meetings, United beat Wolfsburg in
both games in 2009, winning 2-1 at home before securing
a 3-1 triumph at the Volkswagen Arena.
Anthony Martial has been in red-hot form since joining
Man Utd
The Bundesliga club, who opened their campaign with a
1-0 home win over CSKA Moscow, have not enjoyed their
past trips to England, losing on all three occasions and
conceding eight goals in the process.
However, they will hope to change that record as they look
to extend their lead over United to six points in Group B
with victory.
Louis van Gaal is confident Manchester United can reach
the Champions League final if they have some luck along
the way
